Middle School Program

Middle School Program : This program is designed for those players who want to try travel volleyball and improve skills without a long term commitment. Teams will practice twice a week and play in scrimmages against other teams. 

*There is no tryout for this program.

The Middle School Program is modeled after travel volleyball with competition game-play 

Tryouts are not required  & all experience levels are welcome

Girls 5th-8th

Practice 2 x a week.  Choose your team at registration

February 3, 2025-April 7, 2025

Oceanside, NY

All teams practice on Mondays and Wednesdays

Maximum 11 players on each team

Team 1 & Team 2 

Mondays: 6:30pm-7:30pm in Oceanside School 8 

Wednesdays: 7:00pm-8:00pm in Oceanside Merle Gym

Team 3

Mondays:  7:30pm-8:30pm in Oceanside School 8

Wednesdays:7:00pm-8:00pm  in Oceanside Merle Gym

***There will be no practices on 2/17/25 & 2/20/25

This program is designed for those players who want to try travel volleyball and improve skills without a long term commitment. Teams will practice twice a week and play in  2 scrimmages  and 1 half-day tournament against other teams. Scrimmages/Tournament times and dates are TBD.

• Tryouts are not required-CHOOSE YOUR TEAM AT REGISTRATION!   

• All experience levels are welcome!

Tuition: $600 (plus processing fees)

Early Registration (until 1/26/25)

Late Registration fee of $25 will be added on 1/27/25

REFUND AND CANCELLATION POLICY

If you need to cancel:

No refunds will be issued and tuition is non transferrable.  At the end of registration, you will be given the option to purchase insurance that is offered by a third-party.  LI Surge has no affiliation with any insurance policies.

IF LI SURGE NEEDS TO CANCEL:

• If LI Surge cancels due to state, county or school health orders or mandate, you will receive a 100% credit that can be used for any LI Surge Program between the cancellation date and January  31, 2026.
• We reserve the right to add time to other sessions or add days to the calendar to make up for lost time. We cannot guarantee that time will be added if there is lost time due to cancellation, but we will do our best to get as much playing time in as possible.

Waves Program 

Boys and Girls 6th-9th

What the program looks like: 
Players will be given LI Surge T-shirt jerseys the first night of play and be grouped into small sided teams. We will honor friend requests as best we can! We will provide coaches who will teach skills for 60 minutes, then there will be competition game play each night in the program for 60 min. We will track standings for each team and post to our website for teams to track their progress! The last night of the program will be a tournament night! This will model travel club tournaments.
 
Who can play?
Players who participate should have some base knowledge of the game or be comfortable with competition. 

What will players learn?
Emphasis will be on team work, game play, and volleyball match strategy. There will be no cuts, and game play will foster an environment for learning and confidence building in the game.

Practices are once a week on Fridays and Saturdays (see below for schedule)
